Immokalee MSTU Board Members 2025

 Bernardo Barnhart, MSTU Chair, was born in Naples, Florida and raised in Immokalee. Mr. Barnhart has been in the banking industry for over 18 years and is currently the Vice-President of the First Bank of Immokalee. He serves on various boards. 

 Jimmy Nieves, MSTU Vice- Chair, is a resident of Lee County.  In 2024 he became the President of the Immokalee Eastern Chamber of Commerce.  He works for Waste Pro of Florida in Immokalee/Ave Maria. 

Andrea Halman was born in Georgia and moved to Immokalee in 2007. Ms. Halman is a retired social worker with a focus on children and families. Ms. Halman serves both the CRA and MSTU Boards.  

 David Turrubiartez Jr. is an Immokalee native that has spent the majority of his life here. He works in sales in the construction industry. He has two boys and spends his time coaching youth soccer and engaging in community activism. He's also on the Naples Better Government Board of Directors.  

 Cherryle Thomas, born in Tarboro, North Carolina and moved to Immokalee in 1992. Ms. Thomas is retired.  She had organized the Christmas Around the World festivities in Immokalee for the last 27 years. In 2024, the event was named after her.
